Site Assessment and Load Check
Our Ceiling Fan Installation process follows a three-stage sequence built around box support verification, correct wiring, and tested balance. Technicians start by checking the existing outlet box, since standard lighting boxes are not rated for the dynamic load of a rotating fan. Joist position, downrod length, blade span, and ceiling height are measured before any parts are opened. Circuit voltage and existing switch legs are confirmed with a multimeter. Older Centereach homes often need a fan-rated brace box added at this stage.
